Help make Andy Davis’ dream a reality…….

On September 17, 2012 Andy and his wife, Susan, will embark on a trip that he hopes will achieve the first item on his recently adopted bucket list. The listed item is to finance the creation of a water irrigation system for a public garden within the old Townsite – a part of the City of Powell River since 1959. To introduce you to his part of the history and development of this garden, that goes back to 1993/94 you can read his article in the August edition of the local magazine “Powell River Living” on pages 12-14 by clicking on the website below.

Andy is proposing a bike-athon for the 900 km he and Susan anticipate covering during their upcoming trip to France and Spain. Many of us will remember fondly the different “thons” we participated in over the years. Their trip will follow the historic Camino de Santiago starting at St-Jean-Pied-de-Port in France with a hike across the Pyrenees to Roncesvalles in Spain. From there they will cycle west to Compostela – and hopefully will continue to the Atlantic on the Camino de Finisterre. As part of the experience Andy is looking for people to partner with him along this journey to raise funds for an irrigation system for the Townsite’s Triangle Garden.
