Tenant moves in tomorrow

Progress continues to be made on the house. Our tenant moves into the rental suite tomorrow. The office along with Dr. Brooks’ desk from Island Timberlands in now in place. Thanks to the our volunteers and board members, especially Wendy, Doug, Rebecca and Ann along with our carpenter extraordinaire Don. The interior of the house will soon be useable. Walking Tours

Just a reminder that the walking tours will be starting up again for the months of July & August. Saturday mornings @ 10am and we are changing the Wednesday evening tour to the afternoon @ 2pm. All tours will begin at Henderson House 6211 Walnut St. All tours are weather dependent and involve roughly 2 hours and be advised that there are some hills to climb. Contact the office for further info …. $5/person

Society Office relocates to Henderson House!

We are now officially relocated to Henderson House! It is a bit dusty and there are still a few odd and ends to arrange but we are there. Hopefully the office will be completed by the end of next week and we can move the computer and desk in. Work continues on the “rental suite” and it is fast approaching completion as well.

We have also started our summer hours: 12-4pm. Also look for the latest edition of the Digester to be delivered next week.

Papermarkers’ Centennial Ball – Tickets now on Sale!

Saturday July 31 at the historic Dwight Hall is the place to be. Join us as we celebrate 100 years of Townsite. Food by David Bowes and the Laughing Oyster with music for dancing provided by Zoot Suit Riot and special artists Roberta Pearson and Dave Florence. Tickets are $45 and can purchased by contacting the THS offfice.
